Dear Jenny,
I am writing to tell you about eating habits in Morocco, where I come from. In Morocco, food is an important part of our culture and we enjoy eating together with family and friends.
One of our main dishes is called couscous, which is a type of semolina served with vegetables and meat. We also have tajines, which are slow-cooked stews made with meat, vegetables, and spices. We eat tajines with bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
Another popular dish in Morocco is harira, a soup made with lentils, chickpeas, and vegetables. We usually eat it during Ramadan, which is a holy month for Muslims.
We also love to have sweet mint tea, which is served with small cookies or pastries. We usually drink it in the afternoon or after a meal.
In Morocco, we eat with our fingers, using bread to scoop up food. We also share dishes and it is common to see people eating from the same plate.
I hope you enjoyed learning about Moroccan eating habits. Thank you for reading my letter.
Sincerely,
Sara
